Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Home Pet Monitor (the “App”) handles information. The App is developed and operated by DedalDev Doo, a company registered in Serbia (“DedalDev”, “we”, “us”). By using the App you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Our privacy approach

Home Pet Monitor turns two phones into a private pet camera and viewer. The live video and audio travel directly between your own devices using an encrypted peer-to-peer WebRTC connection. We do not run a cloud library of your footage, and your video is never stored on our servers.

To help two phones find and connect to each other, the App uses a signaling server. On networks where a direct connection is not possible, the encrypted stream may be carried through a relay (TURN) server so the connection still works. These servers pass the connection through; they are not used to record, keep, or view your video and audio.

Information we collect

Information collected by the App

The App does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email, or contacts to watch your own pet. Pairing between your phones is done with a short code or QR code.

Analytics and crash reports

We may use privacy-respecting diagnostics and, in the future, tools such as Google Firebase to deliver push notifications and to understand aggregate, anonymous app performance and crashes. Where required, this only runs with your consent through your device settings. This data is not used to identify you personally and is never linked to your video or audio.

Subscriptions

Optional Pro subscriptions are processed by the App Store (Apple) and, where offered, Google Play. Subscription management and validation may use RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous device identifier and a purchase receipt to confirm your entitlement. This data is not linked to your identity, and payment details are handled by the app store, not by us.

Permissions we request

• Camera — so the camera phone can film your pet.
• Microphone — for live audio and two-way talk.
• Local network — so the two phones can connect directly on your Wi-Fi.
• Notifications — for motion, sound, and connection alerts.
• Photos — only if you choose to save a snapshot or recording.

Every permission is optional and can be changed or revoked at any time in your device settings.

How your video and audio are handled

Live video and audio stream directly between your paired devices and are not recorded by us. Any snapshots or recordings you choose to save are stored on your own device, in your photo library or the App, under your control. We do not access, view, or claim any rights to your content.

Data retention

Because we do not store your video or audio, there is nothing for us to retain. Content you save stays on your device until you delete it. Uninstalling the App removes its local data from that device.

Sharing with third parties

Limited technical data may be shared only with the service providers that make the App work:

• Apple App Store and Google Play, for distribution and payments.
• RevenueCat, for anonymous subscription validation.
• Google Firebase, for push notifications and anonymous, aggregate diagnostics (where enabled).

We never sell your personal information, and we do not share your video, audio, or images with third parties.

Children

The App is intended for adults who want to keep an eye on their pets. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we collect so little, most requests can be resolved by adjusting your device permissions or contacting us at the address below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
