Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Home Pet Monitor (the “App”), developed and operated by Dedaldev doo, Vojvodjanska 42, 11070 Novi Beograd, Serbia, company number 21438995, tax number (PIB) 111190461. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The agreement

This is an agreement between you and Dedaldev doo. We may update these Terms from time to time; the current version is always posted here with an effective date. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

2. What the App is, and is not

Home Pet Monitor lets you use one phone as a camera and another as a viewer to watch your pet over a live connection. It is a convenience tool for pet owners.

• The App is not a security system and not a safety or medical device.
• It is not a substitute for responsible, in-person pet care.
• Night mode brightens the picture in software and can use the camera phone’s flashlight. It is not infrared, so the App does not see in a fully dark room.
• Reliability depends on things outside our control, including Wi-Fi and mobile networks, device batteries, and phone operating systems. Connections can drop and alerts can be delayed or missed.

Please place the camera phone safely and securely, keep it charged, and do not rely on the App as the only way you care for your pet.

3. How the connection works

Video and audio travel over WebRTC and are encrypted end to end with DTLS-SRTP. Both phones need internet access to pair and to reconnect, because they find each other through our signaling server, which exchanges only connection metadata such as session descriptions, ICE candidates and room codes. When both phones are on the same network the stream usually goes directly between them. When a direct path is impossible, the encrypted stream is forwarded through our relay, which cannot decrypt it and does not store it. Nothing is recorded on our servers.

4. Accounts

An account is optional. You can use the App by pairing your two phones with a QR code or a 6 character code. If you choose to sign in, with Apple or with Google, you are responsible for keeping access to that provider account secure and for the activity that happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time in the App under Settings, Account, Delete account. See the Privacy Policy for what that removes.

5. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where such restrictions are prohibited by law.

You are responsible for how you use the camera. Only film in places and situations where you have the right to do so, and comply with all applicable laws, including obtaining consent from any people who may be filmed.

6. Free and Pro features

The following are free, with no account and no payment required:

• live video and audio between one camera and one viewer;
• sound alerts;
• push to talk, so you can speak through the camera phone;
• flashlight and front or rear camera switching on the camera phone;
• sound only mode.

An optional Pro subscription adds:

• motion detection alerts;
• night mode, a brightened picture;
• snapshots;
• video clips;
• more than one viewer watching the same camera;
• casting the live view to a TV.

Snapshots and clips are saved to the gallery of the viewer phone. We do not store them.

7. Subscriptions and billing

Pro costs 2.99 USD per month or 14.99 USD per year, with a 7 day free trial on the yearly plan. Prices are shown in your local currency in the App and may vary by region and by taxes.

Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account. It renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. If you start a free trial and do not cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the paid subscription begins automatically. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription before the trial ends.

You manage and cancel your subscription in your store account settings, on iOS under Settings and your Apple Account subscriptions, on Android in the Google Play subscriptions screen. We cannot cancel a subscription for you, and deleting your account in the App does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, not by us.

8. Your content

Any snapshots or clips you create stay on your own devices. Live streams travel encrypted between your paired phones and are not routed to us for storage. We do not access your content and claim no ownership of it. You are solely responsible for the content you capture and how you use it.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that alerts will always be delivered.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dedaldev doo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from missed alerts, dropped connections, or your reliance on the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Changes to the App

We may add, change, or remove features, or discontinue the App, at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes where practical.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, and any disputes are subject to the competent courts in Belgrade. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep the mandatory legal protections of your country of residence.
